Frequently Asked Questions about our Tantra Workshops
► Will there be nudity?
Nudity is not required, but may be part of the workshop. The tantric practices you will learn can be done in any state of un/dress. This creates a safe environment, allowing you to begin exploring Tantra within your own comfort zone. However, many participants choose to be partially nude or nude in some of the exercises.
► What will we be doing in the Workshops?
It is all about self-exploration. Some of the time you will explore by yourself, with a partner and then there are group processes as well. These are meant to exercise expression and communication. Every morning you can expect an active meditation, which we demonstrate the process beforehand so that you get an idea of what’s involved.
► If we participate as a couple, can we work together exclusively?
Yes, of course you can. The choice is entirely yours. At the beginning of each workshop, there is time set aside for all participants to share their intentions and boundaries with the group.
► Are singles welcome?
Yes. Exploring the path of Tantra as an individual allows you to develop tools that will enhance your self-awareness, self-love, and future relationships. After the workshops, you can practice the exercises you learned by yourself as a meditation or with another tantric partner from the group. A quote from Margot Anand that is pertinent to this question, “Don’t count on sex to be the door to intimacy. It’s the other way around: first develop intimacy skills, then make love to enjoy them”.
► Will there be a partner provided for me if I attend as a single?
We do not specifically partner, but you can choose each other in especially designed communication exercises. This can be quite challenging for some people and should you feel shy or need assistance, we are here to help. No one is left on his own.
The most important thing to remember is your intention for attending the workshop. Are you attending in the hope to meet the perfect soul mate? Or are you looking for a casual acquaintance? Are you hoping to improve your relationship skills and attract more love and better communication into your life? Whatever your intention is, we encourage you to open your heart and see all other participants as the god and goddess they truly are. Everyone who comes to a workshop is your ally.
► Do you offer discounts or scholarships for those who need financial assistance to participate?
We do offer discounts via a tiered ticket program. Tier 1 20% discount, Tier 2 15% discount, and Tier 3 10% discount. We also offer discounts for multiple workshop purchases and 20% off 2 consecutive workshop purchases. Ask us about group rates starting at 10 ppl. Booking Prices here
► Will there be a gender balance?
We do try to accommodate pairing balanced by gender. Should there be an imbalance between genders, we try to work with people to either be open to pairing with the same gender, or you may be paired with an assistant of the opposite sex. To better manage pairing, we appreciate singles registering early.
► What is the general age group in the workshops?
Our workshops attract a wide age range and is open to all maturity levels, 18+. We design the exercises in a way that allows people of all ages to participate fully. We have no control over who registers for our events, hence we won’t know the average age until we meet the group.
► May I choose to participate with a partner of the same sex?
Yes, enlightened sexuality fosters a sexual openness, which is not limited to the boundaries of our genetic gender. However, in some exercises we recommend that a man and woman work together, unless you are attending with your same sex partner and would prefer to stay together.
► Are your workshops open to same-gender couples?
Tantra is a powerful way to enhance everyone’s spiritual growth and intimacy, regardless of their gender or sexual preference. To gain the most from your Tantra experience, gender and sexual orientation should become a more relaxed boundary. Therefore, our workshops encourage openness to multiple sexualities. (Straight, gay, lesbian, bi, pan, poly, and transgender) What we especially ask is to leave any and all stereotyping aside.
► I heard that Tantra is all about sex. Will there be sexual activity in the seminar?
Tantra is about much more than “just sex”. It is a spiritual path that includes everything in our lives, and sex happens to be part of it. The focus of our workshops is to present tools and methods that you can integrate into your life to live more ecstatically in and out of the bedroom. Although the expression and application of ones sexual enlightenment is a part of the development, one should not be under the misconception that the workshops evolve into one gigantic orgy after another. Most tend to practice in private. What Is TANTRA?
► What if I am uncomfortable doing certain practices in the group room?
In the advanced workshops that involve more intimate tantric practices you may do the actual practice with your partner in the privacy of your lodging, after watching the live demonstration. While we recognize and recommend the group environment and guided sessions as very supportive in the learning process, it is your choice entirely.
► Do you offer Tantra coaching for singles?
Yes. It is our goal at Riviera Lust to offer coaching for singles and groups in our up and coming facility in 2014. In the meantime, we have a broad network of coaches available throughout Europe. Visit our coaching page for more information and links to our community partners. Coaching and Links
► Will there be genital contact?
The focus of The Discovery of Tantra is on the exploration of breath, energy and communication. Genital contact is not part of any of the exercises. However, if you and your partner establish your boundaries that include genital contact, it is your prerogative to include it when appropriate. The more advanced workshops may include hand-to-genital contact if so desired by both parties.
► For workshops at Riviera Lust, what are the accommodations?
For 2013 workshops, Riviera Lust will be held at a Resort Lodging facility in Nice France while our future Home is being constructed for 2014. Details of the Resort will be soon uploaded in our accommodation page, by the end of January 2013.
The accommodations will include private and dorm style rooms dependent on the workshops, as well as, private workshop facilities on premises. All accommodations include breakfast and snacks throughout the day.
